In collaboration with other Administrators met State and Federal yearly progress goals by assisting in the development of curriculum, evaluations of teachers, maintaining discipline, and controlling spending.  Supervised no less than forty faculty members, collected and reported data on workmen’s compensation claims, ensured the m the main structure, gymnasium, and fifty mobile classrooms met all Fire Marshal, O.S.H.A., and D.H.E.C. safety standards in conjunction with agencies’/department’s representative. Reported all information as needed to Head Administrator and/or area Superintendent. Responsible for a $900,000 textbook inventory and mitigated a ninety thousand dollar loss to six thousand dollars in one year by developing and implementing a textbook retrieval and return system.  Resolved disputes between employees and other staff members, counseled staff with personal problems, and resolved disputes between staff and management (Administration).

Guidance Counselor (Acting Department Head 1996 to 1997) Stroudsburg Area School District, Stroudsburg, PA, September 1995 to January 2001. 

 

Upon enrolling new students ensured appropriate information was obtained regarding student’s demographics such as age, prior courses taken, obtained transcripts from previous schools, parental information, insurance, and vaccine history.  Provided career, vocational, educational, and personal counseling to over 360 students in grades 10 through 12 on an as needed basis. Wrote letters of n requirements, wrote initial Sp. Ed. referrals, Gifted I.E.P.’s, C.E.R.S, conducted I.E.P. meetings, Financial Aid and Scheduling presentations for parents. Conducted interviews for various Department Heads and teachers, completed Guidance Department Budget, other duties as assigned.
