Xactware releases Xactimate Express

 Xactimate Express is an online application that provides your company’s call center agents and desk adjusters with all the tools they need to process and settle structural and contents claims over the phone. This product allows you to create an estimate even if you don’t have a lot of construction and/or adjusting experience. Moreover, the solution is secure, easy to use, and requires minimal training.

With Xactimate Express, you can:

  • Reduce your cycle times and increase your customer satisfaction via using tools that enable you to quickly gather the right information from policyholders and minimize duplicate data entry on estimates.
  • Quickly search for, find, and estimate structural and contents items using visual images and diagrams.
  • Automatically get a list of suggested structural or contents items that may pertain to what you’re estimating.
  • Establish rules and thresholds for how a claim gets handled.
  • Get up-to-date pricing that’s consistent with the pricing data used by your company’s field adjusters.
  • Easily transfer a claim that’s in progress to a field adjuster should the need arise. (For example, if a claim becomes too large or too complex for an over-the-phone settlement).

How will this impact the field adjusters? Could it mean less claims to the field? Or would these be claims that would have not been sent to the field anyway?

This will allow the carrier to bypass Field Adjusters and send money directly to the Insured, until word gets out( it always does ) and the Insureds begin to expand on the narrative ( so to speak ) in mass.
I just left a deployment in Chicago. It seems every Insured had heard that if they complain they get a rush put on the file. You can't rush them all! I wonder how they all found out to complain and ask for a rush order. And, believe it or not, every one of them insisted that their's was truly a rush. The Insured will find out, the Cariiers will realize the Accountants that started this are not the sharpest pencils in the box and the cycle will repeat.
