Japan Insurance Claims

"Claims adjusters have poured into Japan in the past few days trying to grapple with the size of the damages and their clients' exposure, but cannot get near the radiation-affected area. Japanese insurance companies are also being hampered by power cuts in Tokyo that make it virtually impossible for them to appraise the damage." Update from Cunningham Lindsey; "The personal lines team, currently consists of six teams of adjusters and architects and they have been conducting site surveys since the day after the earthquake. Nagamatsu's CAT team has also been supplying manpower to more than half of the local insurers and have already assessed over 160 claims." Read more of this update

in Singapore manned by an advance party of Global Technical Services adjusters and Japanese speaking employees. Additional resources are being deployed to meet our clients’ demands and mirror their own response given the potential unprecedented scale of damage in the worst affected areas. We will deploy international GTS adjusters into the region and we have identified key personnel who are available."
