Description:

As a Cat Adjuster (Xactimate 24 Certified (Advanced), working some 11 storms in recent years, we are now approved as a Member of The Society of Accredited MarineSurveyors (SAMS) as a Surveyor Associate (SA) and membership to ABYC. Celebrating our 10th year in operation, our new firm name is “Marine Claims Masters”.

My full qualifications and references are available upon request. Briefly stated, they include over 35 continuous years of service to insurers worldwide primarily as an independent multiline adjuster, the founder and CEO of an International Marine & Energy Adjusting firm enjoying 15 years ofrespected and profitable operations, being Licensed as a Texas All-Lines adjuster since 1972, a CAT Adjuster handling property and yacht claims as a result of 11 named storms from 2005 to present, a former USCG Licensed Master (200 Tons and Aux. Sail), Past Skipper of the Houston Mariners Club, etc. Whether it be in the capacity of a Marine Surveyor, Marine Casualty Investigator, or Yacht Claims Adjuster, I can offer any principal who might have the need for highly experienced claim handling assistance my promise to give every assignment my personal unfettered and prompt attention. All the while, with integrity, unwavering loyalty and honesty.

I once said many years ago that the three most important qualities a good surveyor and/or adjuster canpossess are “a curious mind”, a “sense of urgency about everything” and “above average verbal andwritten communicative skills”. Recalling the old saying that an adjuster is only as good as his last claim, we know we have to prove these qualities every day. On every new claim, our minimum standards are to confirm an assignment the day received, a phone call returning from the initial attendance and issuing areport or email to the client with real findings (not just giving what information the client gave us) within 3days and weekly updates, when worthwhile. I also say that our files never close, not in my mind, they liveon and on as experience, somewhere around 4,000 career experiences so far… and counting.

Since yacht claims are becoming more complex with the advent of new construction techniques and exotic operational gear which often develop into highly technical issues, I will always avail myself or lead theprincipals to technicians who offer the best chance for a good outcome.

Recognizing that the surveyor or adjuster is often the only personal contact that an assured might havewith the insurers we always take interest in the assureds’ roblems and make as good of an impression on the assureds as possible.

Our background and experience in CAT Adjusting is being applied to boat and yacht claims handling following such an event and is available anywhere, anytime. We are fully equipped with RV and mobile internet access.
