mshort68, as a newcomer to the Real World of Storm Trooping, you need to learn the Cardinal Rule... 'Don't count your eggs till the chickens get laid'.
Which is to say, it's best NOT to get excited till you get your marching orders and there is, in fact, one hundred files waiting in your basket. Disappointment and frustration are not widely advertised elements of our trade as are the lucrative war stories that prompt staff people to jump ship from the Big Red World of security and group health plans to our World of Desparation & Waiting.
How are you liking it so far? |

Ghost – It sounds like you need to compose some type of brochure that outlines these little nuances of your Real World of Storm Trooping so that the ship jumpers won’t get so restless while waiting for the SS Boat ‘o Cash to set sail. |

Ghost, I used to get excited when I was a staffer. I have enough money saved back until I get my time, how about you. Big Red taught me alot which includes fiscal responsibility. I can wait and handle it, and I bet I'll be out before you. Care to make a wager? |

Ghost, comeon now get with the program. We all know mshort68 would not go to a storm for a measly 100 files, why that would be less than a weeks work for him according to his previous posts. Please, edit your post and change that to 1000 files.

Ok, I know that I'm not going to receive the files I did when I was a staffer, but with the pay I won't have to. So while your sitting on your porch of your single wide, I'll be thinking about you. Good luck with your cattle, you'll need it. |

Now, back to the original post. There were several reports of large hail in Alachua County so perhaps some of us unfortunate souls that do not have as much money as Ghost or Justin will get a chance to pay rent on our 12 x 36 pop up camper. Of course the pop up is for the wealthy ones. |

Have you checked the population of the towns reporting large hail? Don't get too excited, there probably won't even be enough claims for Mr. Short to get his 1000. Good luck though, working a hail storm in Florida would sure be warmer than the ice claims we are working in Arkansas. Drove 460 miles today to see two. The good part is mileage and drive time. I've never minded sitting my fanny in the truck all day when I'm getting paid for it. |

OK, Mr "Chompin-at-the-bit, here is another little adage to put in your hope chest,
More Perfectly Good Hail Has Been Wasted On Barbed Wire Fences.
I learned that one in 1986 from a veteran of the road who also told me the story of where the term General Adjuster came from. But...that's a bed time story for some other night. |

Nothing like wishful hoping and dreaming that it may amount to something. That is what keeps us going. But as usual, it probably is just enought to feed the local yocals without bringing in anyone else. It just keeps letting us know that our blood is still pumping. |
