I thought it would be nice to have an area that fellow CADO'ers could come and announce for all to see that they had registered for the convention, plan on attending and even discuss the different classes being offered, etc. Who's in ? I just got registered under the gun at the LOW price of $150.00 so I'll start...
I'm in ! |

Thanks Todd,
Good to see you are going to attend, we sure need the support of all that can possibly make it.
Imagine a whole year of FREE CADO and a convention for a bargin price.
With 200-400 more like you, this will be an "Event to Remember"

Needless to say, Janice and I have already registered. We look forward to meeting guys and gals that we have seen on the CADO web site. I am convinced that this will be a wonderful learning convention and that we will come away with new friends and a lot of good information. Please come folks, Roy needs the support as do we all. Register as soon as possible, don't wait as a head count is needed. |

A guy wearing a straw hat will not represent PowerClaim at CADO this year. :) Nevertheless I am looking forward to meeting some CADO members as well as some PowerClaim users for the first time. Even without the straw hat I am not hard to find since I am the one that moves around like a manikin due to arthritis.
If some of you are like me you by now you have a 1000 reasons why you should not show up in Mobile in a few days. Most of mine have to do with time. On top of everything else we are moving from our tight retail strip center space where we have been for the past eight years to a nice office building that we do not have to share with others that we have leased .5 miles from our current location the week following the CADO convention.
It is also a 750-mile drive. I would fly but I have to leave 5 hours before the plane would leave just to make the flight when the full drive is just under 10 hours plus I would have to rent a car if I flew.
Well my point is it is my best guess that most everyone will have to put forth an extra effort to get to Mobile even though we have paid our fees but have other things that have come up that is demanding our time. As I am encouraging myself I would like to encourage others short on time to keep the Mobile date.
Thankfully firms are sponsoring events to help make the convention happen in a more direct way than just paying the booth fee like we have done but as an extra incentive to show up if you are hedging I will give you a free year of PowerClaim use if you will get by the PowerClaim booth.
Yes, this is meaningless to some of you but if you are free to pick the adjusting software you use, please accept the offer. If you are currently a paying PowerClaim user you will get 365 days added to your current subscription free. This free offer does not apply to those that do not physically come by the PowerClaim booth on Wednesday or Thursday. As a reference PowerClaim is $599 per year, $189 per quarter or $75 per month.
See you at the PowerClaim booth.

Don, we are all sorry for your loss and wish you could be there. Please know that all of our hearts are with you during this time of loss and sadness. I should be somewhere else, but I know the importance of meeting, greeting, communication and knowledge. Janice and I have been very busy for a solid 7 months and are still busy. One of us has to work, so I will be there and Janice will be there in spirit. I will be joining her in Dallas working with Cunningham Lindsey, the finest vendor available.
See all of you in Mobile. For some strange reason, I don't feel retired. |

Had a great time and enjoyed meeting everyone. I missed lots of folks I wanted to meet but couldn't be there, so many were called out and I am glad that was the reason so many did not get to attend, maybe I'll have the pleasure meeting more next time. All the presentations were outstanding and if I can retain 10 percent of it, after 10 years of conventions I'll be about half smart. I had to take my wife to the doctor today, her pulse got down real low (40) but it was back up when I got there.(105) I may be more active in a couple of days, right now I have a lot of honey-dos and five more acres of grass to cut. My peach trees have not been sprayed or pruned so I guess the crop will be just enough to freeze for our own use. Last year the neighbors wouldn't pick them when I offered, and when you can't give stuff away to folks on welfare, it says a lot for the state we are in. I probably had a ton of produce rot on the ground and had two families on welfare that wouldn't pick it for free. I had a beautiful garden with all kinds of vegetables and fruit. Oh well, at least I ate good. I want to express my appreciation to all the people that made the convention, I never felt more akin to any group, we did have fun. I hope every one had a safe return trip. Stay safe.
