I drew most of them, sketches, floor plans, elevation drawings etc., then I took them to a proffesional civil engineer for the certifying and stamp. I later hired a draftsman to do them . I built steel frame buldings, turnkey, including foundation to roof. I used brick, stone and steel siding. I sub-contracted some of the work out, especially glass work, floor covering and mechanical. I also built about eighty buildings for Miracle Span of Mississauga, Canada in the early '70s. I don't know if they are still in business. They were very good buildings for ag uses. I built about half for industrial use. I later built my own Commercial and Industrial type. I had my plant in Graham, Tx and later closed it down and did all the welding and painting the frame work on site. It saved one eighteen wheeler and untold number of damages in shipping. |
