Got a great site to share: http://www.dallascad.org This is the site for the Dallas Central Appraisal District and from here you can search for and find appraisals and other helpful info on every house in the area. I think this is available for houses in all of Texas. Most importantly to most of us, would be that you can get the footprint of the houses foundation from this site. This is especially helpful for those steep, 2-story roofs. It doesn't replace measuring the roof, but gives you a good place to start. Check it out!
Here are some photos of hail damage here in the North Dallas Area. If you have homes with damage this obvious, it would be very possible to do 8 a day consistently if you were driven enough.
Great site when working in Texas is www.txcoutydata.com Site list appraisal districts within the state that have online sites. If you do not find your county there try the link or just go to txcountydata.com/links.asp Many will not have the footprint of the building but do have info that will help with property values.
