Post Cast is an email server that is resident. It works to solve the problem that road warriors have sending email over a broadband connection in a off site location.
For example my home base broad band provider is SBC. Here in Houston the In Town Suites uses Road Runner. Road Runner will not accept email from an SBC account. Post Cast becomes the SMTP server and allows sending email.
