What we ponder and what we think about sets the course of our life. Any day we wish; we can discipline ourselves to change it all. Any day we wish, we can open the book that will open our mind to new knowledge. Any day we wish, we can start a new activity. Any day we wish, we can start the process of life change. We can do it immediately, or next week, or next month, or next year. We can also choose to be condescending, selfish, and critical of others, which creates or constructs nothing positive.

We can also do nothing. We can pretend rather than perform. And if the idea of having to change ourselves makes us uncomfortable, we can remain as we are. We can choose rest over labor, entertainment over education, delusion over truth, and doubt over confidence. The choices are ours to make. But while we curse the effect, we continue to nourish the cause. We create our circumstances by our past choices. We have both the ability and the responsibility to make better choices beginning today.
Knowledge is infinite, as is growth to know ones self. Each day has its own opening and possibility. Grow to what you can be and want to be. Become an adjuster that many will envy and encourage others to follow suit. Learn, teach, nurture others, and mentor those who truly wish to learn, regardless of experience.

I've missed this thread, the messages were always a source of inspiration to me, I'm glad you picked it back up!  And, gee, what a way to start it off, that was a very powerful message.  I've always believed that you need to carefully analyze things in life before you quit, you could just be quitting a day or moment too soon, and the "212" reinforces that belief.

I've noticed that a pitfall of most adjusters is to grow into a state of cynicism and mistrust.  This is especially prevalent for those in SIU departments.  After all, it is our job to produce the most accurate value of a claim whether it is a third or first party claim. 

In adjusting claims, it is easy to fall into the trap of second-guessing your customers far too much- thereby missing out on the fact that we are in the Customer Service sector.  Balance is crucial.

Here's a list that might uplift those needing a boost on how "Attitude" plays a part in success, especially if you did not finish college. Remember these people are Billionaires. You are not here merely to make a living.  You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement.  Money in no way can find you happiness. That must be found within yourself. It is not possible to stay positive 24 hours per day, I don't care who you are. But, if you re-inforce yourself with kindness and consideration of others, that happy day will return. Some say I post positve remarks to re-inforce my own weakness's. That might be true, I don't think it is because of who I am. I have always tried to respect  and to help others as much as possible. You don't gain respect in any field of endeavor by calling people names like, moron, idiot, etc.
