Better rush out and join this one.

Krusnei Cat is looking for adjusters for the upcoming storm season.  Krusnei Cat has contracts in place with carriers completing claims in a progressive way this 2007 storm season.  Our contracts require us to contract with independent adjusters to do scope only analysis of claims.  This consist of:
1.  photo documentation and captioning of loss
2.  diagram of loss
3.  dimensioning of loss
4.  a brief narrative of damage to loss

For these services, we offer 45% of the fee schedule and payments every two weeks.  You may ask why Krusnei Cat is handling claims this way, well, the simple explanation is as follows:
1. You are not writing any estimate
2.  You are done with the file once you turn in required documentation
3.  There are no hold backs
4.  There is no waiting for file to close before you are paid
5.  You can complete 3 times the amount of files with this method, compared to whole file handling

example:
full service file handling
fee schedule pays $600.00
65% of fee = $390.00
$390.00 x 5 daily = $1950.00
$1950 x 6 days = $11,700.00

scope only file handling
fee schedule pays $600.00
45% of fee = $270.00
$270.00 x 10 daily = $2700.00
$2700.00 x 6 days = $16,200.00

As you can see, you are making $4500.00 more per week and not having to write estimates, wait on your  file to close, hold backs ect.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Vince Cincinelli via email   vcincinelli@lightningspeed.net   as soon as possible.  Krusnei is forming their first wave teams for deployment, don't miss the boat.

With the lack of work I would have expected the newby vendors to slow down.

Well, that sounds interesting. I have never heard of this organization, has anybody else?

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

This is the third company this same person has sent this type of solicition on. In the others, the demands of the narrative was very detailed about each picture as well as having to do the same to each picture. I had not heard of the other two companies he was representing as well as this one. I wrote back on the second site and asked who he was and what a phone number and never got a reply. Have others tried to contact him?

In looking over some of the fee schedules I have, you would have to be writing in the neighborhood of 10k per loss to reach the $600 threshold.  Another thing that I do  not like about this type of set up is that you have no idea what the final outcome of the estimate is untill you get a copy of the invoice from them.

Call me gun shy, but I want to know what my coverages are before I write anything. Why waste time scoping and who knows how many photos, narrating them only to find out 1/2 of the damage is not covered?

A couple of math problems here. First it says you can complete three times as many claims, then the example implies you can do ten in the time it would take you to do five. I always thought that 10 was two times five, not three times five.

Second, it looks like you would be doing everything you would normally do on an appraisal only assignment except the estimate. I don't know about you, but by the time I have done the inspection, scoped the loss, taken and labelled photos, drawn a diagram and described the damage in a short form report, the estimate writing takes a relatively short period of time. It looks more like you are doing 90% of the work and that, at best you could do another one claim a day rather than another five or ten. Beware the person who offers to pay you $2,700.00 a day for doing "almost nothing".

BEWARE of anything outside the norm. There will always be new ideas, concepts and opportunities that come your way.

All things must have a learning curve, as Steve said the math is deficient in the original proffering, so what makes anyone think the deal would be any better?

Let's all keep to the credo of CADO, "KNOW BEFORE YOU GO".

This includes getting fee schedules, carriers name, credit references of the IA and sufficient credentials of the management to verify the authenticity of the offering. To do any less, the hole you dig may be your final resting place.

They keep sending me emails about this as well. I'm new but I couldn't see where this was an advantage to me. Sounds like I was right.

If you want to put a stop to these type of e-mail solicitation, respond to them with questions like, "who are you? how long have you been an adjuster? how long has this company been in business? who are the principals? what other names have they run a business under? I can almost assure you that they will drop you from their list like a druggie droping their stash when the folks in blue want to talk to them.

I am not the fastest or the most organized; but over many many catastrophe claims that I did the input - output into a computer and turn in a complete file all by my self the time was about 2.5 hrs for a simple type loss.

It also seems the industry is very pleased with adjusters who can turn in 6 roof losses per day.
