Just wondering if anyone might have an excel program for coinsurance calculations. I show the calculations in my reports, however thought it would be better to attach a form.

jfliistro after rereading your post I gather you wanted something free but if you free to look at and use our Replacement Cost Calculator free for 30 days. It will permit you to print a nice report as well as compute the valuation. The standalone version is $99 a year and permits you to print out the report. It is the same module that is included free with our PowerClaim XML estimating solution.

I do not think from your post you are interested in doing underwriting valuation reporting but we have a per use ($5 in lots of 20) or annual fee ($250) based web version that will permit you to do the same as with the stand alone but without installing any software plus you can attach digital photos and write an underwriting report by web to go along with the valuation report. The carrier/TPA or who ever can just log into the website and view or print your completed underwriting report including the photos.

While this can be viewed as a commercial you may be interested if you do many so you do not have to manually create your reports if you do many each year. Clearly the $99 is not a get rich scheme but it helps some look more profession and gives numbers that can be supported in a court of law in that the database comes directly out of the Craftsman Book Company National Building Cost manual.

Since you are new to CADO you may want to do a search because I remember there was some free Excel tool adjusters were sharing during the hurricanes but I just do not remember what it was for but it let you plug in numbers for some part of handling a claim. If I hear of something that is floating around that is free but could meet your needs I will post it.

Could you spell out in a little more detail what you want the Excel spread sheet to do for you because I am sure there is some that has created something like that but many use estimating software today that includes that reporting feature.

We did have a co-insurance worksheet on the site. I will check the archives for it and post a link here later and also the new Acord Policy Support page being release this weekend will contain additional tools that may work.

I have a coinsurance worksheets that is an Excel product, you enter certain data from a claim file and it will automatically compute out your coinsurance calculations for you. If someone will clue me in as to how to download an Excel product onto the site I will go ahead and put it in. Along those lines also let me know if that download procedure will work for PDF files as occasionally I come across some stuff that would be been a very beneficial to some on the site.

Thanks for the info Roy, the co insurance worksheet is awaiting approval and will be on the page once approved. It is an excell worksheet, and the first 3 tabs are correct on them, but not sure about bldg 4. As I mentioned, you should double check the first few you do to make sure the formulas are accurate. Been awhile since I played with it.
