I found this article about an adjuster who  created "a series of painstakingly decorated underground tunnels and chambers that make up the so-called “Temple of Damanhur" in Northern Italy.”

The author states;

 "The mastermind of this operation? Not a long-dead civilization, but a 57-year-old former insurance adjuster who calls himself “Falco.” He claims to have experienced visions of past lives from an early age, and the temples represent a reconstruction of those visions. He collected volunteers to a remote hillside and never looked back. The group has no set religion and no distinct message, though they occasionally use the temple to meditate—possibly on the virtues of a good work ethic.

There is one question that immediately comes to mind: What’s up with insurance adjusters? Something about their job must drive them slowly insane. And not just the normal kind of insane. The kind of insane that sometimes results in gigantic underground construction and other times results in underground fight clubs that gain momentum among blue-collar workers until the financial centers of society are demolished in a sequence that can only be described as “trippy.”

Do we have any other adjuster\artist in the community? You can use the "MyProfile" section to create your own photo album to show your work,

Though the adjuster/artist in the above post seems to have rounded the loony bend a bit, one does not have to look to the off center or even as far away as Italy to find artwork by adjusters.

Many may not know that Meg Watts (CADO's own StormSupport) is a fine painter. I particularly like her "Moon Over Avalon". For anyone who's interested, I'm sure she would share the link to the website where her artwork is displayed to anyone who sends her a Private message requesting it.

I'm not sure what is more insane digging freakin tunnels and painting them or after many years of adjusting moving to the contracting industry.

It might be more insane to stay with catadjusting right now. Moving to another industry seems quite sane to me.

I made the move a few years ago but I hear you. I don't have to worry about getting work I just have to make sure it doesn't drive me postal.

Steve,

I am deeply touched by your kind comments regarding my art!

I stumbled upon this gift after I had major surgery and was unable to leave the house for 3 months, boredom set in and I started painting...a gift kindly given to me at that time in my life.  I'm never sure whether its considered 'good art' or if I just find solace in the painting, but either way, I highly recommend some sort of creative outlet for everyone, it gives us the ability to have some 'down' time and just pure enjoyment of life's simple gifts.

Thanks again for your kind words!!     (The check's in the mail!!!      )

~M~

Do the right thing, ALWAYS
~Meg~
