| CADO has now been online for 12 years. We first went online in 1995 and based on this CNN article we were one of around 18,000 websites at that time and I believe the only website devoted to Cat Adjusting. The same CNN article also stated that there were around 100, 000,000 websites in October of 2006. When this site was first started it was called "The Disaster Page, A Catastrophe Adjuster's Home Page", we did not get the domain name CatAdjuster.org until 1997. Our industry as well as CADO has seen many changes since we first hit the web. You can follow some of the CADO changes by visiting the internet archive, http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://catadjuster.org they started saving CADO pages in 1998, here is a link to the May of 1998 CADO home page. You may also want to take a look these forum post from the 1998 forum or this link for post made in 1997. It's kinda fun to see what dicussions we had 10 years ago. I want to thank all of the members and visitors for visiting and helping CADO reach this milestone. We could not do it without you. You have kept CADO alive and helped it grow for the last 12 years and I hope that you will continue visit and participate on the CADO site for a long time to come. Take care and thank you for visiting, Roy PS, most of the early pages in the web archive do not work well with Firefox, of course Firefox was not around during that period. Also, some the images no longer exsist so you may see broken images in the early pages. It appears that they did not archive the images. | | | Adjuster Directory | The Licensing Page | The Cane Page | |

| Wow, 12 yrs old! Here's to seeing CADO around for another 12 x 12!! Thank you Roy, for all you've done, not only for creating a place where adjusters can network with each other, share knowledge, learn from one another, but for also creating the "CADO Family".
You have done a wonderful thing for the industry, and I just want to thank you for your commitment, devotion, patience and foresight! Thank you for being a pioneer and carving out a network in unchartered lands and giving us the ability to communicate and share with each other. ~Meg~ | | Do the right thing, ALWAYS ~Meg~

| Well, Roy this has been a long and seemingly impossible task that you have accomplished. Having been associated with you since '95 when you started, it has been akin to watching a child being raised. First the crawl, then the toddle, and the walk and finally the run. You have gone beyond my and everyone eles's expectations in the raising of the CADO baby. And all that anyone can say is KUDO'S, Congratulations, and Well Done. For those that have not been here since the beginning, just compare the growth of this site to a Model "A" Ford, vs a 2007 Corvette. Thank you seems like such a small word to express how much you are appreicated by we older players. | | | "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new... Albert Einstein" | |

| Happy Birthday CADO! I agree with the others. The site is a great resource for all of us. I have learned alot about adjusting just from reading CADO. You have done a great job, Roy | | | |

| Congratulations Roy. You are a fine example of what can be done when one refuses to quit regardless how tempting it can be. I have learned so much by watching the way you have grown CADO thought its different phases of growth. You somehow knew when let things take their course and when to actively direct the direction of CADO. You acted in the manner that you felt was best of the industry and let the chips fall where they may. I thank you for your patience’s and understanding over the years. There will never be a concrete way to measure the impact you have had on the industry up to this point but I know it would have been hard for HRI to have survived to reach the point we are today without the information that flowed through CADO that helped enable us to learn and survive in this industry during a time of great change. Happy 12th birthday CADO. | | | |

| I joined CADO right after hearing about it, left it for a while, (we were really busy) and then came back after seeing what an influence the sight might have on adjusters and unity of same. I met Roy for the first time at the first CADO convention. I saw a man who was not going to allow anyone to dissuade him from doing what he felt best for the adjusting industry. Has CADO made a difference, sure it has. A big difference. Will it continue to make a difference, sure it will. Roy, I commend you for your efforts to help this industry in any way that you could. You are most loved by many, including myself. Twelve years, who woulda thunk that. Congrats. I have made many friend through CADO and have enjoyed meeting many of you. Lets continue with our effort and help Roy to make this THE adjusters meeting place. | | | Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. | |

| I stumbled upon CADO in February 1998, three weeks after I quit my staff job at Nationwide to pursue catadjusting as an independent without the every other week pay check standing in my way. Within a week, I had work. Roy had taken the resume I submitted to CADO and forwarded it to the Bud Trice, the Crawford cat manager. The time was right because there was immediate work.
Over the years this website has helped me form a network of friends and colleagues. Without this connection to each other we would be sitting in our offices, making a few phone calls, sending out correspondence, watching the weather channel, and wondering what was going on without any real time opportunity to see the trends in the industry.
Thanks, Roy. Did you ever suspect what your little "Disaster Page" would become? | | Steve Ebner

| Roy- congratulations on 12 prosperous years! I only have a small picture of what you must deal with due to the large number of participants on CADO and the years you have put into the CADO project. I have learned so much about the independent side of things from viewing CADO. While I'd managed independents for years as a carrier staff claim manager, you have no idea how naive staff managers are as well as staff adjusters about the "pre-storm" efforts independents experience just to get deployed and the major expenditures for training. I really enjoyed meeting you at the NACA convention in 07 and hope to do so again at the 2008 exhibit show again this coming year.
My dad's favorite business motto was "Make Things Happen" and you've certainly done that with CADO. Thanks not just for all you do but for the manner used to handle all the issues that go hand in hand with running this site that folks for the most part don't ever even know about. What an honorable thing you have done for the catastrophe adjusting community. Thank you. | | Visit our Adjusters Information Blog www.dimechimes.wordpress.com | |

| Thanks for all you do Roy. I have been reading your site since 1999 and have benefited greatly from your work, Chuck Deaton's CAT 101, and all the other old timers. For those who haven't read the archives, you should search for anything of interest. Lot of gold in those threads. | | | |
