Here's a great sofware that can be downloaded onto your Blackberry phone and its free.  Beyond 411 provides free phone number lookup, maps, driving directions, weather, sports, and more for your Blackberry.

See this link for more information:

If any of you know of others out there that would be helpful, please add them to this thread.
    Good luck with those claims!

Also, here's a free '411' phone number put out by Google.  I have it saved in my speed dial:  800 466 4411.

On second thought, that 411 site is just 'ok'. Even better is the Google site that's for a mobile device. On your phone, just go to 'google.com' and it will recognize that your phone is a blackberry. Once there, you can download their gps-mapping software, Search capabilities, g-mail, and they are all tailored just for your phone.

Well, I've never dared to pride myself in staying on the cutting edge of things. My use for a phone for the most part has always been fairly spartan.

For example, I cover a large territory for daily work and it's sure nice to get the contact information on a claim that's out near Guam before I come all the way home. This was never an issue when I was doing Cat claims since I got them in bulk, schduled and mapped them out over long periods of time- sometimes upwards of two months out.

I love my Blackberry. It is amazing to have someone send a fax, that I have on-forward to Efax, it appears on my Blackberry as a PDF doc that I can actually read, zoom-in, etc. It is rock-solid for Email, getting assignments, and is a great phone with long lasting battery.

I also stay off the edge, and wait about 6 months for the "newest" things to be discounted, debugged, with more feedback from the early adopters.

My favorite non-work website, www.Pandora.com finally opened themselves up to compatability with Blackberry phones.  I've always listened to it when working on paperwork.  When you get a call or an email, it puts the song on pause so you can answer it and easily return when done.

I'm willing to bet that you could use the iphone jack in your car to plug your phone into your car stereo.  I just don't have a car fancy enough to have that jack yet.

FYI: This site allows you to create your own radio station based on the genre, artist, or song.  The radio station is free and commercial free.  Who needs satellite radio when you already have a phone that's compatible.

No, no iPhone. At the time that I placed a one time charge for Tether, iPhone did not have an app that would allow this.

The only way to make an iPhone work by allowing your computer to tether into the phone's data plan was to 'hack' into it. This may have changed since then.
