Good afternoon gentlemen and women.
For the last two years, I have been working under the supervision of someone who has been hired to write estimates for various Public Adjusters in the Tri-county south Florida area. As of recent I have decided to start my own company and inherit our client list, essentially keeping the above-mentioned man on the payroll as a marketing/ sales guy.
My question is this...what if any licenses do I need to run this business legitimately. I've been told by this guy that none is necessary.
I am young and this is my first business. I have spent much time browsing the internet with no luck. I'm not interested in becoming an actual adjuster. I'm only interested in writing the estimates at the moment. For clarification, I write residential estimates after a customer experiences a loss.
Thank you in advance for any advice, help, or a point in the right direction. This can be a daunting industry where solid answers are hard to come by!
