    more bad press or someone looking to blame someone;

     For fishermen counting on checks for losses they sustained from the BP spill, the mail can bring the denial of a claim or a much slimmer payout than anticipated. Last week, Ken Feinberg, administrator of the $20 billion, Gulf Coast Claims Facility, was hammered by questions from fishermen and others during his two-day road show to discuss claims rules in Mississippi and south Louisiana.

    ...

    Dean said "many of the claims adjusters seem to be temporary contractors," lacking the will, experience or guidance to handle simple claims. Feinberg changes the rules almost daily, he said. "There's no consistency as to how claims are processed, and much of it depends on which adjuster your claim was assigned to."

    Cat. adjusters are trained to find ways to pay all claims reported.  Liability adjusters have to have proof in the form of documents and records. Medical reports on injury claims are challanged thousands of times each day. A cat adjuster on property only claims, will not be able to sort through these type claims and should not be used in any future event.Fienberg is the right man for the job and he has 20 billion to get rid of all the claims.... when you have these events its like 150 people show up that were passengers on the only bus in the accident.

    Ray,  Feinberg is grounded on one simple principle  " Mr. Fisherman  just provide verifiable proof of what you claim"

    I worked Katrina with many "Fishermen"  et al   they made outrageous claims of income with absolutely no proof  When and if you could find their income tax records or any records,  they did not even approach anything close to what was claimed.  Most are on a "cash basis"  so reporting alleged income is non-existent  problem is there is no proof  and their "word" is not worth squat    When dealing with this element prepare to be seriously lied to
