So, NOAA says it will be a slow year, but they said last year would be crazy busy too, so we will see.

Anyway, stay safe out there, and happy new year from all of us at Accelerated :)

An area of low pressure drifting over Atlantic waters off the Carolina coast this weekend has the potential to develop into a weak tropical system during the week of Independence Day. AccuWeather Hurricane Expert Dan Kottlowski stated in a recent interview that this would be an area to watch as June comes to a close and July begins. Surprise, now looks like we will get our first hurricane this week. Models showing it brushing the outer banks (weak side of storm) and then on to Nova Scotia. Maybe a couple
of thousand claims NC and for a couple of thousand adjusters. If you ever want to work a storm in Canada see NAFTA, TN permit and make sure you have a passport.

This one is going to be close, will the eye wall actually touch the islands of the outer banks? Wonder who had Authur July and NC?

Hurricane Aurther expected to be Cat 2 and hit the outer banks, This may end up being the best storm of the year. Of course travel may be impossible for a few weeks
depending on bridge and road losses. This is definately stronger then expected. Nova Scotia will be next.

Hurricane Arthur weakens to a post-tropical storm. Though he's left downed trees and power outages in his wake, Arthur is no longer classified as a hurricane. Downgraded to a post-tropical storm early Saturday, Arthur's powerful winds and heavy rain moved into southeastern Canada. They pelted the Canadian Maritime provinces, after skidding by North Carolina on Friday, without causing major damage.
