I've heard there's a "number of years waiver" for former military personnel. The number of years is 4 consecutive, I've heard the military waiver makes it 1 year. Does anyone know if this is true.

Never heard of it and we would never hire a flood adjuster with only 1 year of adjusting experience, lol.

Two unofficial waivers, the 'not enough adjusters waiver' and the 'BS' waiver.

The first happened in the aftermath of Katrina and Sandy; perhaps others as well.

The BS waiver (no disrespect meant), is used when you speak to the right person and sell them on the quality of your experience and abilities.

    ...........................

No formal waiver for the FCN, however certain IA firms are working with the NFIP on Mentor Programs and you will receive your FCN as a Mentee.

I think you are confusing the USAA certification which requires 3 years of experience unless you are former military and with a DD214 you only need one year of work experience
