Just to give a quick background of me.

35 and been in construction off and on since 16. Obtained FL Residential Contractor License.( lapsed)

I have inspected roofs and met adjusters on about 200 roofs for companies for hail damage.

I have used XM very little doing estimate from time to time.

NOW, I am NC. Should I take the TX ALL LINES EXAM? Whats the difference in the LP&C?

I am interested in doing claims, but would prefer to do hail damage claims for roofs.

Once I take my exam and get my license, hoe easy is it to get on with Pilot, or other big firms just doing roof claims, etc?

ALSO. What kind of pay is being brought in doing this?

It is unlikely that you would make enough money to pay the bills and have anything left.

If you want to specialize in hail damage ONLY,you would be well served to go sell roofs for a living. Lots of roofing companies are looking for salesman and the money ain't too bad.

I would like to do hail claims only !!!. This work is not that comlicated and you need to learn how to handle all type cat. claims.A roof claim is a roof claim. If you have what it takes you should be able to do a chicken barn roof, a  very large dwelling roof-covered with with 10 types of membrane.s and raised copper roof seam roof on a skyscraper building.

Many cat. adjusters are able to do this work as I described and you need to go back to the starting line for "wormey adjusters"

Ray, that's why I directed him to a roofer as adjusters cannot cherry pick claims. What a cool thing and lucrative to boot if we could JUST do hail claims !! :-)
