I have tried to research this as much as possible, but am having a hard time finding the information that I need.
Where does one do an ITV with Xactimate Or do I have to find someplace else to do one If that is the case, where and what do you suggest

Does anyone know if you can merge assignments with Xactimate. For example adjuster A gets assignemnt but is busy, call buddy adjuster B and ask if they can inspect the property. B scopes and scetches, prepairs esimate, emails data file to A. Can A merge the estimate with original assignment I've done this with auto programs before, but cannot find a way with Xm8.

I really need to vent about a very annoying surprise that Xactimate hides in the program.
Let's say if you have a fountain that is cemented down or somehow fixed in place. Most adjusters would correctly &160;consider that 'other structures' kjust like a fence, a permanently installed basketball hoop, etc.

If a home burns to the ground and the carrier is comfortable with an Xactvalue estimate for the rebuild, what is and is not included in the Xactvalue total
I'm pretty sure temporary power, temporary fencing, demolition of the existing structure, debris disposal, damaged fencing etc. is NOT included.
I'm not so sure if all the permits and fees, architectural fees etc. ARE included.

Be very careful from what I just heard the other day installing xactimate will compromise your Simsol program if it is already loaded on your CPU. The source was tech support guy with Simsol and he stated it delets core files in Simsol. I would think this maybe an issue that would I would be very wary of, since I feel xactimate is an inferior program compared to Simsol. Have you ever seen an Xactimate estimate that contains a refernce to Roof1, Roof2, Roof3 and so on In most cases this is because the estimate writer is using the 'Roof Icon' or the 'f' key to add additions to their roof. I installed X-24 demo several months ago and then never did anything with it. I recently purchased x-24 and now when I try to install the new disk they sent me, it just tries to update the old demo disk. I get a "subscription expired message" and can not get past that to input the new keycode that came with my new disk. We started using Xactimate last year in an effort to minimize haggling over repair cost's with insurance adjuster and companies. After getting started we started noticing that the price list Xactimate provided us was much different in cost's then price list's used by several insurance companies. Has anyone installed Xactimate 24 on a Vista machine using the work around I am curious as to how many problems it will present. The Xactimate site says that it is available, but has not been tested. My old computer is barely hanging on, and I have a new computer, but I don't want to switch over if it is going to cause more problems and slow me down.

I've just reinstalled Xactimate 2002 and Xactimate for Remodelers on a cleanly installed Windows XP SP2 with all updates.
Problem is every time I go to the "&91Line Item Entry&93" screen where it shows the images etc, Xactimate 2002 locks up/freezes/crashes within a few seconds. (app not responding) I have to close it and end the app. Error is always Hung-app. It always locks up on any estimates once I get to the "&91Line It...

When attempting to install on my new computer, I found that Xactimate 24 is not compatible with Windows Vista. Checked Xactimate website and they do not have a fix at the moment. Sure hope they come up with one before the storm season gets into full swing. Don't retire those old computers just yet!

I just started using Xactimate a couple of months ago (Have used integri for years) Why is it so hard to draw a roof using this thing I have found it virtually impossible to draw a steep cut up roof. My buddy works for Farmers and said they just scan their drawing into the system.
Why doesn't Xactimate change sketch when one of the largest carriers in the nation has to have their adjusters scan handwritten diagrams into their claims

I recently figured out that the "megameter" line item in Xactimate should really be "Megger Meter".
A Megameter has nothing to do with electricity. It's a tool for astronomy. (you can Google it).
