Dave thanks for the article. That is the first photo I have seen of Dickie. It is hard to believe he is going to be doing time. Kind of like the guy in New York that was on top of the world and put it at risk and lost. There has to be a lesson in these cases and some will learn from them.
I think it is sure bet that Mr. Scruggs will never practice law again. The same fate would seem to lie ahead for his son. He also can still be charged in the other influence case, and could face state charges (remember Mr. Vick). Wonder if he will start naming names for the Feds? And could a Bush pardon be in the future? PL Blake is receiving millions for his work clipping newspapers, maybe he can find work in that field.
Glad he finally pled guilty so we don't have to pay continued costs to prosecute him. If this is a federal case there is no early release. You can't get "good behavior" in federal prison.
Instead, we will just pay the continued costs to house, feed and protect him. I'm guessing his plate will be fuller, his bed softer, etc.
