Just south of the Cape Verde islands a tropical disturbance is developing and the conditions are in it's favor for developing as it travels 15-20 mph.

Sounds good to me.

Long way to go and very early in season. But fun to watch.

Still sliding down the razorblade of life.

I'm really torn here. Should I wish for this system to become a hurricane and hit the mainland so y'all can go to work and survive a little while longer? Or should I wish for it to die out and do nothing so my hopes of winning the Thar She Blows contest remain intact (or coming in a tie like last year with Janice). Tough call here. Tis the season to get excited about every wave that forms in the Atlantic though.

Well,

It looks like Bertha is a fish and is staying out to sea.

The season is young, don't fret, it will happen this year. I just hope it is a moderate storm so the insurance companies can stay afloat.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
