Does it?  I am not finding anything new, nor seeing a way to look at the previous forum topics.

Help this computer-illiterate being, please!!

It took awhile, but I finally figured out how to log on. I agree that a lot of what has been in the forums has been an embarrassment on the entire profession. I hope this is an improvement. My first impression is not positive, but I'll reserve judgement.

Mike, here is a link the site's archive page, all of the past topics will be listed on this page.  There is a search box above the latest forum archive that will allow you search for a topic of interest.  You can decide to view the entire thread.

I sure hope that this ends up being an improvement. It sure did put the brakes on. I tend to agree with Steve. I will reserve judgement as well. I hope that the medicine isnt worse than the disease.

Recently registered and logged-in. No problems. Look forward to posters who have "real" names and positive info to post.

I was just about to the point to shut the forum down and not have a forum on CAD at all. However, I decided to start a new forum instead, it may not get the post the other forum did and I'm OK with that.

Steve, I'm always open to feedback, negative or positive. What is it about this forum or the site you don't like or what gave you less than a positive impression?

Bill, You need to go into your profile, under the account information tab and change the time zone that you are listed under.  If memory serves me correctly the default might be GMT.

Haven't had the time to really check out the new forums well enough yet, but what I see i like and I like the idea of names being posted with each post.  I never cared for the idea of people being able to hide behind a fake name to post, especially with some of the stuff that was said.

I think roy and the moderators have been very patient with the forums and my hats off to all of them for the work they have done here.

Thanks Steve. It was not easy being a modertor and I certainly, as others, drew much criticism for editing or deleting posts of vile language and negativity. It appears Roy does not have moderators anymore, which is fine with me. However, if he does, I can take the heat, as do others. I agree with Roy that the forums had gotten out of control and something had to be done. It has been done and it will be better. I, like you, did not like the idea of some wild posters with anonymous names. If your posts have to hide behind a crazy name, then the post should not have been made.

Thanks Roy for your never ending endeavour to have a one of a kind web site for many to learn with and guests to view. You made the correct decision on the new forum. It it already showing signs of good, informative posts.
