Articles from March 2007 | Friday, March 23, 2007 | | Who’s Picking Up the Claims Trash?
By Roy @ 9:56 PM :: 3007 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: Home | I attended a TWIA meeting Thursday and Friday and Reggie spoke about this article. The quote below comes from the article written by Ken Sanders, CPCU. The article can be found on the claimseducationmagazine.comwebsite. (link below) "One of the core axioms of customer service, attributed to the great Walt Disney, is, “Don’t pass the trash.” As I have heard the story, Mr. Disney was walking the Magic Kingdom with a Disney executive one fine, sunny day. As they strolled along the pathway, the executive walked past a piece of trash lying on the ground. Mr. Disney stopped, looked at the executive, and nodded his head in the direction of the trash. The executive stood still, puzzled by what Mr. Disney was trying to relate. He was quite astonished when Mr. Disney bent down, picked up the trash and threw it away. Mr. Disney then turned to the executive and said, “Here at Disney, we never pass the trash.” >>> read more (pdf) |

| Wednesday, March 07, 2007 | | State Farm to reopen slab cases
By Roy @ 12:17 AM :: 1067 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: Home | Dale said the Bloomington, Ill.-based insurer agreed to send new teams of adjusters to work on the cases in Mississippi's six southernmost counties. State Farm is to report its findings back to Dale's office in 30 days. Dale said it is "unacceptable" that many slab claims remain unresolved 18 months after the storm. "The company must be able to prove to the Mississippi Insurance Department that the damage was caused by water and not by wind," Dale said Tuesday. "And what we found is, a number of these slab cases they cannot prove that it was strictly, completely destroyed by water. And so for that reason, we have requested that they go back and readjust these claims." State Farm spokesman Phil Supple said the company intends to give Dale the information requested. Supple said many slab claims already have been resolved through the Mississippi Insurance Department's mediation program. >> click here to read more << |
