Ok, Dont think I'll be posting in this forum any more. I've come to the conclusion that some of you are high minded individuals who like to be condesending towards others who don't view things in the same light as you. Does it make you feel powerfull in some way to treat people with such rudeness? My guess is it does, I'm pretty sure you would not act this way face to face with others, but oh hey wait your the all powerfull adjuster who wields his expertise and some one elses money, so you might not be beyond it!
And to the admin, how is it you allow people to repsond with such rudness, this is nothing short of flamming! No wonder you have such a small amount of people that visit these forums, you allow those who feel the need to be condesending and rude to chase every one away!
So I'll just be checking back from time to time to read what's going on but won't be posting anymore. Also to let you know I had been telling every adjuster that I've been meeting if they new about this sight to help promote it, guess that won't be happening anymore either.

Oh my, a contractor (presumably a roofing contractor) started a thread ("Nailable Surface") with a question, and doesn't like what he heard; good thing for him he didn't ask it 6 months ago.
It took 3 days for it to become real clear not only how vague the question was, but that he was presenting different information in his quest for an answer that wasn't forthcoming; notwithstanding that this had been a previously well hashed subject in another forum.
I was almost convinced on the 4th day to squirt my calculator with WD40 and to take up the math challenge for the mystery of how many nail holes per square foot, but lost the urge in the humor of it all.
Now, the anonymous contractor with a cult like by-line, is sulking in retreat. "We" are labelled as having ".... such rudeness ...." not once, but twice and also are being noted as capable of flame throwing.
From a historical perspective relative to how other such people have been responded to, I dare say the contractor with no name was given ample opportunity to try and make one clear technical question, even in his forgivable absence of himself searching other forums for this subject or thereafter referring to them. Once it became obvious he was looking for that golden piece of straw in the haystack of the indemnity pile, and his intent became clear; he became the joke du jour.
This person was given a lot more latitude than others before him, and I applaud you all for that. |

Clayton... thanks for your post. You are right, this anonymous contractor was treated very well in light of past exchanges.
The question about nail holes is laughable(as explained in the original thread), but there was a legit question in there about coverage. It's too bad the roofer hasn't taken the time to understand the legal situation surrounding "who owes what."
I am tired of people thinking the insurance company owes the world to the insured. The principal of indemnity is a simple one. I could go on about this, but I know we ALL know what I'm talking about.
