"Thirteen tornadoes, with at least one reaching wind speeds of 115 MPH (according to the NWS) tore through the Houston metropolitan area Monday afternoon, November 17. Severe weather conditions in the state began, November 16 and continued through, November 18. The high winds, heavy rains and lightning caused minor to severe property damages and was responsible for some localized flooding and widespread power outages. The areas hardest hit by this weather system are Harris, Fort Bend, Chambers and Wharton counties in the Houston area. Damages also occurred the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex but to lesser degrees than those experienced in Southeast Texas. The same storm system that was responsible for damages in Texas November 16 through 18, also caused property and vehicle damages in Northeast Oklahoma, November 18. High winds and hail downed power lines and damaged buildings and vehicles primarily in Tulsa, but there are also reports of scattered damages throughout area. Damages include downed trees and tree limbs on homes, vehicles and structures, as well as wind and hail damages to vehicle sheet metal, roofs, roofing and siding." from corporate site of Allstate's intranet.
So... in summary, the OK part was just a bit of the storm left over from Texas. |

I work 3 weeks in Tulsa in a drive in for Farmers Insurance through Wardlaw claims. I saw 290 cars while there.
