An invitation to join a class action came in the the mail, there is no explanation as to the contentions of this suit.

Posting here to ask for an explanation. Is the bone of contention overtime?

There is a class action lawsuit against Farmers for overtime pay. The plaintiffs are independent adjusters who worked on the Farmers mold project in several states, primarily Texas.

Since the mold queen got fired by Farmers and sued them, I guess the I/A's kind of just tagged along to see if there is a pot of cash at the end of the road.

I ahven't been home to check my junk mail but have received these invites before. I California action (Allstate) Caused me to tell them in writing what they could do with their action. Every time I have worked it has been for an agreed price, to which I agreed and just becuase someone gets greedy and finds a lawyer doesn't mean we have to play along.

I was contacted about a year ago or so regarding this class action suit against Farmers Insurance Group for overtime pay.

My reply was that I had agreed to work at a given pay rate and I had been paid in full. My checks were on time and accurate. What else could I have possibly wanted?

However, these folks level of persistence is only exceeded by their level of greed.

Back during the summer I received something regarding this. It asked if I wanted to join in.

Several years ago a large Independant vender was sued similarly in CA on the OT issue. It was settled out of court for a large sum and a lot of adjusters received some money from it. I opted out and received zilch.

I worked for the above described company in CA, and was paid faithfully by the Vender for all I did.

It's a gamble whether this latest one will result in anything.

Please keep on topic. While informative and entertaining, these Off-Topic posts have nothing to do with the original topic.

I have opened another top for the previously posted replies under "INDOOR PLUMBING." We need to be a little more sensitive in our replies. If someone takes the time to open the new topic let's all be courteous enough to keep our replies on topic.

Thanks,

Linda
