Storm season is approaching, we are now hiring for seasonal CAT Adjusters!

DCM (Delegated Claims Management) is an independent, third party, claims management provider specializing in the Property, Casualty, Liability, Transportation, and K & R insurance markets.

Position Summary

We are looking for claims adjusters to become a part of our Catastrophe Team. As a member of our team, you will care for our client’s customers who have been impacted by hurricanes, hailstorms, tornadoes, wildfires, and other weather-related events. In this role, under DCM direction, you will inspect, scope the damage, write an estimate of the damage, and evaluate losses in a timely manner.

This is a temp/seasonal opportunity, not full-time staff. This is a1099 position with potential for full-time work.

  ** No permanent relocation required **

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Examine claim forms, policies and endorsements, client instructions and other records when available to determine coverage.

  • Set initial loss reserves.

  • Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing information required by client, local, state and federal government and by DCM.

  • Maintain an expected case load, correctly scope and estimates on every assignment.

  • Maintain company reputation and integrity of insurance products by complying with federal and state regulations, service standards and client requirements.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education.

Requirements:

  • Valid adjuster's license in state of residence (where required by law).

  • Must be able to travel on short notice and remain on location for indefinite periods.

  • Must possess the necessary tools, i.e. ladder, laptop, cell phone, etc., required for the assignment available.

  • Acceptable results on pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and motor vehicle records check.

  • Dependable vehicle & proof of auto insurance with required limits of liability ($100,000/$300,000).

  • Ability to climb ladders and be able to lift 40 lbs.

  • Be proficient in Xactimate/Xactware.

  • Have good communication skills, organizational ability, technical knowledge, and computer skills.

  • Bilingual a plus.

Note: Large catastrophe events may require prolonged periods away from home and long working hours. We ask that you commit to a 60 day assignment if you are selected as part of our CAT team.
