I am an agent with big blue and am considering applying for the CAT team.  Have an opportunity to do this before the kids get to high school (we homeschool now) so we could take them on the road some.  What do you veterans know about this particular team?  Anyone ever worked for them before?

I have worked a couple of thousand claims for Allstate/Pilot and have had limited contact with the staff cat team. It's my understanding that they take care of the help fairly well. They have invested a lot in their cat operations and know how to work a cat for sure.

You will be on the road between 50% and 90% of the time.

Thanks Larry, that's good to know.  Its a great company I'm just getting a little bored of the agent thing.  I have a unique opportunity as my dad is an agent as well and I can come back into the agency force in the future, so I would like to do something else before he retires.  Anyway, I have a family and am thinking I could have them with me some of the time if I get an rv and I'm not working major hurricanes.  I have always been impressed with the CAT team, and think it would be a fulfulling although very demanding job.  Its my understanding that its a 10/4 schedule.  Thanks for your input.
