0 Replies and 3820 Views Auto Flood Template and Scope Sheet for Adjusters  3820  0 Started by  IAPATH I just wanted to provide a template for auto flood claims due to Harvey. This template has the vehicle information, total loss options, and flood levels all on a one-page scope sheet. Use this to make it easy to document your claims and remember what to write on that particular car. You can download it at the link below. IA Path Flood Template   If you have any suggestions on revision don&39;t hesitate to email me, ChrisIAPath.com. I&39;m want to help fellow adjusters.

3 Replies and 4476 Views Daily Claims  4476  3 Started by  JimGary Since in my opinion, I think the year may be over, I went to digging up some daily work. Started getting some pretty good assignments. Got a response from a vendor to an inquiry about handling some claims. This is a good lesson for those who will work anyone just for the experience. This vendor offered $50 a file, not good but not a deal breaker as long as I have others at a good rate. I recd the contract, the vendor does not pay if they do not get payed by the carrier.&160; The adjuster is out...

3 Replies and 5404 Views Auto vs Property  5404  3 Started by  mbradbury I've been in the insurance business for about 6 years now, spending the 4 most recent of those as a property adjuster.&160; I started off as a staffer and moved over to being an independent.&160; I'm clearly not at a point in my career where I&160;work year round, but I do alright for myself.&160; Plus, my wife is a staffer with USAA's Internal CAT Unit, and she does well too, and luckily her job gives us all the stuff we need like medical insurance, etc.&160; All-in-all, we're in a pretty ...

21 Replies and 10344 Views Too Many Adjusters???  10344  21 Started by  JimGary
(Topic has multiple pages1 2 )
There have been numerous posts regarding the number of adjusters entering the property field. Believe or not, there seems to be a shortage of experienced auto adjusters. For those property guys with auto experience sitting on the sidelines, you might let your vendor know of your experience and get deployed on an auto assignment. Not as long or profitable as a property assignment, but pays the bills. Just a thought. JWG

6 Replies and 5824 Views Auto Adjusting  5824  6 Started by  Tim G Hello,     I'm considering becoming a part time auto adjuster in Pittsburgh PA. After searching the archives for information I still have some questions that maybe the wise and experienced on this forum can answer. I have a background in the automotive field; I was a certified mechanical master auto technician and service manager in a couple dealerships over a period of 15 years. So I'm very familiar with parts and flat rate time estimating.     Is there training/tes...
