I think the kids that excel have direction in their life, a burning desire and goal. Its not just with kids, we see it in every profession. Attend any class with adjusters and it becomes apparent, which are the real ambititious and those that get by. Some learn by trial and error and you can only do that at someone else's expense. With no experience and reletively little education in this field, I was taken back with the lack of basics some of the adjusters had, and if I can detect it, what do you think the Team Leaders are going through. If I choose a career field, I feel its my responsibility to educate myself so that from the git go, I will have the knowledge to do a good job without someone having to hold my hand and teach me the basics as we go.I want to do my job with just minimul help, I may start slow but try to be correct and not burden the person in charge with having to do my work for me. I think this comes from childhood, a child that grows up under trying conditions will go to one extreme or the other and never tread the middle ground. My approach to adjusting is going to be one third study, one third experience and the other third a burning desire for the job which brings about a blending of the ingredients that will result in my final goal. If I don't think I can get there, hey, I ain't going, but I will, I know I can.

The following is a related email I received and thought I would share with ya'll. Ain't this true ? ...
CLASSIC VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. Grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.
MODERN VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.
CBS, NBC and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.
America is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?
Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when they sing "It's Not Easy Being Green."
Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing "We Shall Overcome". Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grass- hopper's sake.
Al Gore exclaims in an interview with Peter Jennings that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and calls for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his "fair share".
Finally, the EOC drafts the "Economic Equity and Anti-Grasshopper Act," retroactive to the beginning of the summer.
The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.
Hillary gets her old law firm to represent the grass hopper in a defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of federal judges that Bill appointed from a list of multi-generation welfare recipients.
The ant loses the case.
The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.
The ant has disappeared in the snow.
The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.
MORAL OF THE STORY:
VOTE REPUBLICAN, OR LIBERTARIAN, BUT NEVER VOTE DEMOCRATIC |

Gee I hope that wasn't ment as a partisan rant. Ah the world as seen by the Rushamaniacs lol. The Grass hopper was injured when his vechile was stopped for being in a neighborhood where ants lived and the praymatins security officer found he was resisting arrest. When his health care provoder denied his claim, using the grasshoppers in wrong neighborhood exclsuion, he was at home an disabled for the summer. The newspaprs told his story and tried to get sympathy for him. Jessie Jackson saw a chance for publicity, then discarded the grasshopper who died of an infection related to his injury, leaving all his little hoppers fatherless. This forced their mother out on the street where see found work at an old profession, got hooked on drugs and eventually died of aids. Meanwhile the ant of the story was running a large business. He had his staff inflate earnings, gave himself hugh stock options, and sold them at the inflated stock prices, then lent himself millions in interest free loans. When the company got into trouble he solve the money problems by firing all the grasshoppers how had been working for him for many years and he kept their pension money. He then used his wealth to get elected to the senate where he made a name for himself calling Democrates the spawn of Satan and pointing out how worthless teh grasshoppers were. |

The true story was the grasshopper was a drug dealer and fence driving a stolen vehicle and thats not meant to be partisian. The irate security officer was really a vigilante not connected with enforcement. he was part of the neighborhood watch. Jesty Jackson staged a protest using rear screen projection in a plush studio and blamed society, and the republicans and democrats started pointing at each other. "Oh what a partisian political web we weave". We cannot blame all industrious, risk taking people who get wealthy with being corrupt or immoral, just as we can't blame all poor people with being beggars and thieves. The poor people sometimes are happy with their life, they work hard, are frugal and have all the family values that enriches the soul. These are the working people in the lower income bracket, not to be confused with the deadbeat dependant. There are people with certain traits that learn and earn, others that can't and many that wont. We need to know the difference. |

Help Fight Terrorists !!!
As we all know, the Taliban considers it a sin for a man to see a naked woman who is not his wife. So, this Saturday at 2:00 PM Eastern time all American women are asked to walk out of their house completely naked to help weed out any neighborhood terrorists.
Circling your block for one hour is recommended for this anti-terrorist effort. All men are to position themselves in lawn chairs in front of their house to prove they are not Taliban, demonstrate that they think it's okay to see nude women other than their wife and to show support for all American women. And since the Taliban also does not approve of alcohol, a cold six-pack at your side is further proof of your anti-Taliban sentiment.
The American Government appreciates your efforts to root out terrorists and applauds your participation in this anti-terrorist activity.
God bless America!

I'll bet ya wouldn't see this kind of patriotism in Canada, now would ya. This sort of community service project would be frowned apon at Possum Lodge. |

Now what was it that Trent Lott (no relation to Russ) said recently about patriotism?
There are a whole bunch of republicans and others right now who would love to buy Ol' Trentmouth a one way ticket to Ottawa. |

Well now big fella, your assumption is not entirely correct.
Whatever day in the 3rd week of June each year is beaucoup jour of our french citizenry - Saint Jean Baptiste jour. You do recall french was elevated as an offical language a year or so before the old goat DeGualle came over from Paris and encited a riot in Montreal with his rant 'Viva Quebec libre'. Anyway on this June day for the french - a holiday within their province - all the lovely french belles outside of Quebec must exit their domiciles at noon wrapped only in their wannabe sovereign flag to show their lack of federalist beliefs. Every anglo male is compelled to collect as many of these flags as possible between noon and 2.00 PM. Certain suburban corners and metro intersections are coveted by our bretheren for their density of la belle damsiles. Molsons have the concession rights and exclusively sell cold Canadian, while Labatt's hawk their Blue on secondary streets. All and all it is a good day of keen competition among federalist teams. To the victors goes a handshake from a Wasp federal politican, and the coveted federally issued garden recycle bag (with the bilingual instructions symbolically blacked out) to accumulate the winning covey of foreign flags. |

Yes, la belle femmes of old Quebec, are beautiful in so many ways - their dress, their manner, their strength, their beauty. They have ample confidence and style to stroll the wall - looking for and beckoning to, like kind and quality males. |

It has been a few days since we have heard from Kile and JimF, so I thought this article from Wrold Net Daily would stimulate them.
Democrats' legacy of wasteful plundering By Jon E. Dougherty
Life in America under the permanent rule of the socialists who now control the Democratic Party would cease to exist as we know it, and there are a couple modern case studies to prove this point.
Earlier this month, reports said that California was on the "fiscal brink" of disaster, its budget so far in deficit that red ink could total something like $25 billion over the next year-and-a-half.
"When times were good and billions of dollars in income tax payments were pouring in from high-tech millionaires, California lavished raises on state employees, expanded health-care benefits for the poor, cut taxes on car licenses and invested heavily in education and transportation," the New York Times reported.
"With its huge economy stalled and state revenues plunging, California has descended into its worst budget crisis in a decade and is now facing an excruciating round of budget cuts and possible tax increases," the paper continued.
Tax increases
tax increases
Oh yes, now I remember. New York City's Mayor Michael Bloomberg a lifelong liberal on social issues has just signed a bill hiking property taxes in The Big Apple nearly 19 percent, a move that one analysis says will cost 62,000 jobs citywide. All the little Napoleons on the Democrat-dominated city council supported the hike, but give them some credit: Bloomberg initially sought a 25-percent increase.
NYC's property-tax increase came on the heels of a cigarette-tax increase in June, and Bloomberg is also asking state leaders in Albany if he can increase the commuter tax as well.
California and New York City represent two of the most populous regions in the country. Both are bastions of abject liberal socialism. Both, obviously, are spending themselves into oblivion the people can only afford to vote themselves so much largess.
Meanwhile St. Louis, Mo. another Democrat-controlled enclave was given the wonderful distinction of becoming the most dangerous city in the U.S. this past year. Democrats have ensured that Missouri remains one of only a handful of states that still doesn't trust its residents enough to "allow" them to have concealed firearms. Gun control in St. Louis is some of the most strict in the nation but only for law-abiding people. Is it any wonder why, in a large city filled with unarmed victims, gun crime is up?
Speaking of Missouri, under a decade of Democratic leadership, the state's budget ballooned more than 300 percent so that now, like California and other states burdened by socialists, lawmakers are struggling to figure out how to pay for all the largess as revenues drop in a struggling economy.
Over in the nation's capital, the Democrat-dominated city council hooked on "traffic" surveillance technology now wants to put video cameras in all neighborhoods. Naturally the plan is being sold as a crime-prevention adjunct, but in essence what it will do is create a privacy-free zone in all of D.C., when you count all the local police and federal surveillance equipment.
Besides hiking taxes, how else are Democrats dealing with self-made fiscal problems? Trickery and theft. Democrats, you may remember, carried the water for their allies in the trial-lawyer industry, who sued tobacco companies for hundreds of billions of dollars. States jumped on this bandwagon and for their effort were rewarded with record settlements that amounted to little more than legalized extortion of the tobacco industry money that was supposed to be used, in large part, for anti-smoking campaigns.
What happened? Many states with the highest lung-cancer rates are squandering tobacco-settlement money intended for disease prevention on unrelated programs, according to a study of health and fiscal data released by the non-profit Cancer Care and The Chest Foundation.
Higher taxes. Fewer freedoms. Distrust of common folk. Less liberty. Trickery. Theft. That is the legacy of Democrat-controlled politics and their allies in the RINO "Republican In Name Only" party. It obviously is no longer the party of grandma and granddad, where "the little guy" takes precedence.
With such a dismal record of defending American ideals of liberty and freedom, it's a wonder why the Democratic Party still exists.

That is stuff from the Right Wing Conspiracy, right Jim. Why do they keep making up these lies? Just look at all the charges they brought against Clinton that just disappeared with time. Everyone knows CA is rolling in the dough because they paying high rates for energy that they do not even need. That should be proof enought for anyone that they are doing fine in the money department. |
