Well, things sure have been entertaining the last week or so. I have received emails and private messages from some stating they are really enjoying our "debating". This is without a doubt, a very expressive group of people, with convictions that run deep about their chosen profession. I respect that very much.
Although the exchanges have been entertaining to some, they will eventually become detrimental to others. If all we do is question every word the other says and blurt out our resumes every other post, what type of a resource are we providing for those wanting to use this site to further their knowledge about this business. The answer is not a very good one.
I want to be the first to throw my hat in the ring and say I would rather get back to the business at hand. What do you say?
(disclaimer: Should I receive unfavorable remarks for taking an adult route to end this feud, the 'ole CatDaddy will return!) |

Agreed Lannie, but please try and consider my remarks regarding this issue if there is any latent trickle. |

I was very Fortunate to start my Adjusting career with Pilot. Just about every storm I worked was out of a regional office where I dealt with staff adjusters on a daily basis. I never felt any animosity or any bad vibes because I was an Independent Cat Adjuster ( Except for a couple reinspectors). We all had a job to do, and we worked together to achieve that end.
Now I get my files Emailed to me and only deal with a Staffer when there is a Coverage problem!!
I truly enjoy the Witty banter and also there is nothing wrong with getting acquainted with coverages outside the norm of a Cat Adjuster. Now that a lot of Cat Adjusters are doing daily claims, they may need some of the threads discussed. Education is Education.
I do not like ANYONE who belittles a poster for their opinions, no matter what opinions they have. We all stand to benefit from the knowledge of our Members, no matter if they are a Cat Adjuster, Staff Adjuster, Public Adjuster, or Attorney.(Even Some Roofers)
Making anyone comfortable to post should be a goal of all that roam this site. Not, having to worry if someone will bash you for your opinions or a question you have on any subject.
This site is only as good as the people that make up the Membership. We can make an effort to agree to disagree. And by chance, someone torque's your shorts, Email them privately to get your aggressions off.
Ive been wanting to get that off my chest for some time now. Feels GOOD!!! I will be attending the Windstorm Conference in Orlando and I hope to see some of our Members there. Have a great day and please WORK SAFE!!!!

Mix it up! Belittle his opinion. Let's hear it, cause I love it. Burn some tail feathers. One caveat, to do it and to get it done to you, you've got to post. Get him Ghost, jump in there Ole CatDaddy, hold him Clayton. |

Well said Russ. Hey, dont Cecil the Diesel and Stumpy Jim work for Pilot? I have to go to Florida sometimes this year and get the Windstorm certification or whatever its called.
Chuck - Its hard to keep "Ole CatDaddy" in the bottle sometimes. He really loves working at his craft. I am sure the 11th or 12th time someone tells him he knocks heads with someone, he'll show up! He is flying the white flag for the moment. He is a man of his word. |

The conclusion of any dog fight only results in two bloody dogs that have accomplished literally nothing.
We should all be able to post without fear that some dog wants to have a fight. Perhaps that is why there are only a few dogs posting and no new members.
