I have been looking for information about a company that goes by the name of 2X4 Construction, does anyone know anything about them. They say they have offices in several parts of the country and are in the process of opening a new office in Indiana. They are sending out emails requesting information saying they have immediate work.

I can find no information of these folks anywhere or I am not looking in the right places. Thank for any help. John 144.

Does anyone have any information on a company called "Intrust Claims".  I just received a call from them and wanted to check them out.

Thanks in advance.

No info on 2x4 Construction, but they should have some sort of GC license and have their name registered in the state in which they do business.

A quick google reveals:
http://www.intrustclaims.com/

I don't know anything about them, but I just checked out their website.  Make sure you read what their reporting requirements involve and understand your billing (Minimums, Fee Schedule, T&E).  If you need more explanation than that, PM me.

I am never beyond asking for the name of another adjuster that I might talk to.  Likewise, I think they should want a reference or sample of work from me if they just picked my name off a list somewhere.

Any particular topic or subject matter? They are not listed in the adjuster company database, at least not under the name of 2X4.

2x4   Very interesting...  1. They may not need contractor’s license in their name as long as they have a licensed qualifying agent to pull permits.

SWAG:   shades of  FICUS
this could be an evolutionary step in claims handling.  Carriers or third party "policemen" assigning network contractors the claims to inspect and adjust?  It was only a matter of time. Judging from the questions about Hail experience and location (didn’t Indy have a nice storm a short time back?)  They might be swamped with work and running out of time.

RedSupraT, got anymore info on these folks?

IA's would be the work force pool to solicit.

Thank you for your input.  Yes, it is Andy who contacted me.  they have already assigned me a claim and I had to remind them that they had not sent me the contract yet.  Andy sent it right away.  Just to recap.  you have not had problems with Intrust right.

Thanks again.

That is the same e-mail that I received and so far other than to tell me that their Fee schedule is under revision they so far have ignored request for website information or other information so they can be checked out.

I have build 8 companies from scratch in my lifetime and when people to not offer up informnation to be checked out it is a Big Red Flag. It would not be a wise decision on aanyones part to send out personal info under such circumstances. Not bad mouthing anyone but Facts are Facts and I only know one way to do business and that is stright up.

Intrust Claims is top notch!  I worked for Andy last year (Katrina, Wilma, Ophelia), my first year with them.  Andy is old school, he sticks to his word and tells it like it is.  His support staff is great as well.  Never a problem getting paid either.

I am getting in on this a little late, but don't understand.  Are you saying that 2x4 contracts with a carrier to do the adjusting on the claim, gets paid for that, then also gets the contract to do the renovation?  If so, that is illegal in Texas.  Is it not in other states?

In regards Ricks post: I am not aware of any thing illegal in Texas about a contractor working a loss with out an adjusters inspection. Happens several thousand time each week in the US. I am a native born Texas adjuster.
