Now the lawyers are ganging up on the carriers that did not exclude levee breaks. Here is the word: http://www.insurancejournal.com/news/southcentral/2006/06/01/69019.htm?print=1 Prediction: Just like the Northridge Quake in '94 this Katrina Mess will be around for 10+ years.

Your kidding. Someone lives in an area below sea level knows that if a levee breaks they are going to be flooded. This is getting so ridiculous you have to laugh at it. Now they want the companies to warranty what the Corps of Engineers build, jeeeeeeez.

If the Court rules in favor of the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan homeowners insurance policyholders, how many of the fifteen insurance companies will chose to remain in Louisiana?

Now they want the companies to warranty what the Corps of Engineers build, jeeeeeeez. Your second sentence assumes a basic level of intelligence not necessarily found in those who cry out the loudest about the government's failure to save them from ANY AND ALL disasters. To a segment of society that has it ingrained that the 'gummint' is their perpetual gravy train, it is perfectly natural to make the jump to the premise that the 'gummint' also caused Katrina to happen for the sole purpose of speeding their demise in order to get them off that 'gravy train'. It was all a plot to keep them in their place if they were only lucky enough to survive since the Corp already KNEW the levees would fail! (I echo your thoughts - JEEEEEEEEZZZZZ!)
