New Adjuster Wanting to do Cat/Adjusting - 3/5/2006 9:44:00 AM

I am a newly licensed 620 Adjuster who has landed my first job as an adjuster.  I am extremely interested in being a Cat Adjuster, which is why I sought out this business initially.  The upcoming hurricane season is fastly approaching, and I would like to be trained and up and running by the time it gets here. I am an extremely fast learner who is open to the challenge of traveling, and relocation. Any suggestions?

Many adjuster's may suggest that if you've already "landed" a job as an adjuster, you should stay right where you're at. If you're working as a staff adjuster you may be getting some of the best training and experience you'll need down the road. If you're working for an independent, they should be able to put you to work on storm files when/if we get hit again this year, as is forecasted.

Here is the url for a group that will help out new adjusters. You will find a wealth of information there as well as reading all the forums on CADO that have already discussed New Adjusters questions.

Also, see the getting started section of this site.  You are one of many who have posted the same question on this site.  Likewise, there have been many with years of experience that have answered your question in multiple threads.

Good luck.
