John does the new version of Simsol that is going to be out next month contain the new R.S. Means insurance database. We at Hawkins Research have been looking foward to seeing your new Windows version. I am sure you all are excited because I remember when you wrote in Dec 96 that you were planning to release in early '97.

Software development can be a slow go. We got PowerClaim 97 ready in May '97 and it was OK but our database source did not come through for us. We decided to go with R.S. Means for the database source and develop PowerClaim 98.

If you have not seen a beta copy of PowerClaim 98 you can see a screen shot on our web site: www.hawkinsresearch.com My e-mail is galeh@hawkinsresearch.com Our phone number is 1-502-753-7001.

Do you think the fact that a large increase in the number of adjusters being forced to computerize will drop the price of the major adjusting software packages below $500.00 by the year 2000? Our experience in the software industry shows this trend. I hope we have not under priced PowerClaim 98 at $479.00 per year. What is the cost per year for your version coming out next month?
