Did they ship with the plastic strips to prevent them from sticking together? Were they removed?

Linda as I think about my last time to nail on a shingle it was 18 years ago but somewhere in the back of my mind I remembered something about removing the plastic strips. I am not much on trusting technology I guess. Seven years as a long time for shingles to still ruffle in the wind so I who guess someone miss mixed the materials when producing the plastic strips. The manufacturer would cover that it would seem. If they hesitate just tell them Gale said they should stand behind their product. :)

The plastic strip under the shingles is only for shipping and stacking purposes, it does not disintergate, it just keeps the shingle that are stacked straight on top of each other in the bundle from sticking together not when they are installed
