I attended this class at UNT, taught by GulfStates/Sunspree.  It was well taught.  The trainers were easy going and stayed on task, presenting a broad perspective.

I attended this class because before I invested my time and money pursuing a independent adjuster career, I wanted an opportunity to observe, listen, ask and assertain a conclusion.  It has been money well spent.  A class like this should be a requirement for newcomers such as myself.  Having a solid construction/estimating and substantial building material knowlege base adding to that 2yrs of FEMA disaster housing inspections, I concluded that CAT adjusting is a career that I can enjoy continued career success and KNOW that at the critical state an insured/community is in following a disaster that I am the right person at the right time to do a thorough and thoughtful job.

Again, I reccommend this type of class right from the start.

It must be good if Kitty learned in one week what takes most staff adjusters, like me, 6 months.

Ray, you know as well as I that the "new breed" learns faster, has more smarts, and can change into anything they want in a phone booth, just like Clark Kent.

What has taken us 10-20-30 years to learn, can now be taught, absorbed, implemented, activated and brought to fruition in a matter of weeks.

Just trust and hope you and everyone you know, never has to have their claim handled by the "New Breed", as opposed to the "Old dogs".

You can teach old dogs new tricks, but at least they have some idea of what to do for openers.............................................

Man....u dudes are cynical.  Funny thing is...and I'm sure your old enough to remember the saying, "If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch"!   Thats pretty much the premise of why I took that class.  Every industry eventually throws out the old and brings in the new.  You've got to stay on top of your game.
