Larry, thank  you for your observation. NIAA was created many years ago by a lot of dedicated, positive individuals, it took someone like Roy Estes to get the ball rolling. I am appreciative of what Roy has done, even though his personality is somewhat colorful. He is just full of life and spit and vinegar. I see nothing wrong with that. I too, have made mistakes in my life. We all do, but I don't think it is the right of another individual to be so viscious in demeanor over honest posting here. Welcome to CADO and please continue to post your positive or colorful remarks.

Folks,
Temperance is one of life's greatest virtues. The most distinguishing mark of a leader is to have a vision and pursue it with passion!. Roy, if what you have is a divinely inspired vision, opposition and dissention comes with the territory.

Very well said, Grace, and so very true. I am tuning out the negativity on the forum and will endeavor to persevere to the best of my fragile ability.

As my dear friend Gene Murphy would say, "Okay, now lets get to work"

LEBCATADJ,

Great post Larry.  Don't have to be an experienced adjuster to have insight into humanity.  Keep 'em coming.

I have been a member of CADO for a couple of years now but have been visiting this site for several yeas prior to joining. I joined as a gold member in 2004 to support the site because it has been a great source of advice, insight and opportunities. I was an independent adjuster handling daily claims for a few years prior to becoming a cat adjuster. I have had several opportunities to continue working on catastrophe claims and am currently still deployed. I have been away from home for 21  out of 28 consecutive months. I feel that as an adjuster with 6.5 years of adjusting experience and 19 years construction experience, there is still plenty to learn in this business. I have always enjoyed reading the informative posts of KRhomas, Tom Toll, Larry Hardin etc... but it really disturbs me that these same people who I have turned to for advice and wisdom in the posts they produced, are now publicly criticizing each other. I am not sure what has transpired behind the scenes, but as someone who has utilized information from each of you and have a lot of respect for you guys, it really dissapoints me greatly. I hope some day you guys can get past this and remember that there will always be new people coming on this site as well as other sites in an effort to find the wisdom that was always shared here. And remember that there is always more than one opinion or answer to some of the questions that are asked and there will always be adjusters who look to you more experienced adjusters for help. I will support NIAA as well as Claims Mentor because I believe both sites will be a benefit to all adjusters. I don;t know Krhomas, Roy Estes, Tom Toll or any of the veterans of this site personaly, but I feel I know them professionally because of the insight provided. Good luck to each of you with your future endeavors and may you all be blessed. And also I would like to thank you guys for your postings on this site and look forward to seeing them in the future.

James, excellent post. I have an idea. If any of you have been a member of the Armed Forces you know what this means. It is time to STAND DOWN!!!!!

It is time to get back to the basics of CADO. A site of information for all involved in claims processes. A site to gain knowledge not yet known. A site to bring you up from being down. A site of compassion for others (including insured's). A site that helps all (ol timers & newbies), and a site of inspiration.

Life is simple, humans beings screw it up.

I turn on the CNN broadcasts and all I see is delema, negativity, and sorrow. Lets not turn CADO into a CNN subsidiary. Our little group of people specialize in being knowledgeable, compassionate, self contained, spirited, and helpful in time of distress to others. It is in our moments of decision that our destinies are shaped. Every word we write can become our destiny, or our demise. Be kind to each other and treat all with the respect they deserve. Jealousy and contempt is destructive in every one it touches. Compassion, understanding, and knowledge are blocks of many, to  build a pyramid of successes. Let us all strive to build that pyramid. See you at the top.
