Does anyone know where i can find training for a roofing sales force that teaches how to determine hail, wind, or contaminated damaged shingles? I have tried the roofing manufactures and they don't even know what i'm talking about.

HAAG Engineering regularly offers courses in roof damage evaluation. Usually associated with a claims conference somewhere or by some of the larger TPA firms.

Go to the PDF 4 page download put out by Citizens Insurance as a recommended price guide in Florida (on Caddo) Now assume you were handeling flood losses in Florida. Assume you were using a price data base that must be modified to comply with your duty as the adjuster to use the local prevailing rates for reconstruction. (Quote from NFIP) 09/17/04.) The unit price for common scope line items has wild swings of 100%.

This would require each loss adjustment to have an agreed cost with the repairing contractor, and render the present system useless, or only an advance on the final settlement to follow.

It seems we may have this system now; with the warm body estimates.

rmayeux-

Several years ago I started a power point presentation showing hail and contaiinated damages to shingles. It's not complete. I might could up date it. Depending where you are located I would considering talking to you about doing a presentation. Contance met as charchand@sbcglobal.ne.
