Our client is one of the nation's most active consulting groups in support of federal housing inspection operations, completing more than 750,000 inspections annually. This successful group is in the process of attaining a contract with a federal disaster agency. Upon award of this long-term contract, our client will establish an office in Washington DC, build a staff, and begin operations. Making use of cutting-edge, internet-enable technology, this office will command and control nationwide all inspections of disaster-related residential damage, in order to determine swift and adequate reimbursement to victims. In addition to the Executive Director, we will also be considering applications for Director of Operations, Field Operations Chief, Field Inspectors, Quality Control, Logistics, Network technicians, and other technical staff. Title: Executive Director: Disaster Housing Inspection
Location: Washington DC
Compensation: Base salary in the range of $110-125k. Incentives could potentially double the base. Full benefits.

Description: Direct the activities of a Washington DC-based company dedicated to providing timely and accurate damage assessment inspections in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). These inspections are conducted at disaster sites throughout the US and are used to determine the level of reimbursement to the victims of natural disasters. Our client adheres to a rigorous standard and guarantees that inspections will start promptly after a disaster enabling State and Federal agencies to provide swift and efficient financial assistance to the victims.

Responsibilities:
As the Executive Director, you will oversee a professional and experienced staff whose mission is to maintain readiness and respond to disasters directed by FEMA. The Executive Director will form the Washington, DC office and build the team of professionals servicing Federal disaster requirements. The primary responsibility will be to interface with FEMA executives, elected officials, media representatives, and other oversight authorities.

Required:
*Executive level experience in disaster related agencies or large government operations (federal,
state, non-profit, or other).
*Ability to effectively communicate and interact with media, regulatory agencies, and other
concerned parties.
*Located in Washington DC, or suburbs. Candidate relocation considered.

Desired:
Experience in Red Cross, FEMA, or other national disaster response agency.
Experience in housing inspection programs.
