Kile, you are flat wrong about the Iraqi people taking years to understand freedom. Why, just look at the example of mail order brides from Russia, or Korea, or Orem, Utah, or any other third world locale. Within two months of being brought over here they are transformed from compliant, quiet, subservient docile souls by American televisions Oprah, Dr Phil, & Jerry Springer into fire breathing dragons, i.e. typical American wives. That's right, they go from Susie Wong to Anna Nicole Smith!
No Kile, the ruination into Americanised freedom takes so little time. Is it any wonder the rest of the world fears us? Our culture that we have built up an immunity to is deadly to the everyone else. We don't need bullets and bombs, just kill them off with Marlboroughs, People Magazine, and Big Macs. That way they'll get lung cancer, brain rot, and clogged arteries. It's a lethal combination. |

Ghost, we don't plan to bring the entire population of 26 million Iraqi's to settle in Nebraska.
Unfortunately, they will have to stay in that desert they call home. With Shiite and Suni Muslims, Asyrian Christians and Kurds there will be a significant period of military rule to keep the peace. Once liberated everyone will want to be in charge. The trick will be to get the respective heads of these groups together to form a sort of coalition government and then perhaps draw up a charter for a democratic government and then ultimately a representative democracy. If all that goes well they will emerge as the only Muslim democracy in the middle east.
It's a long shot, let's hope it works. |

| I can picture the Roamn Senate talking about the need to protect them selves by invading Gaul. It would protect there borders and be good for the Gaulish people (those that survived). We export our own brand of imerialism, the ecomonic type. The more I listen to people saying that if you do not blindly and completely support Bush the 43rd you are both unamerican and pro ?? (used to be communist but what is it now?). The fastest way to loose your freedom is to set narrow guidelines as to what is freedom. Every day I heard people suggest that even to be a Democrate means you are anti American. And heaven help you if you belive in peace, you should be lined up and shot (The Savage Nation). It is only fitting we take care of Sadam, we created him. |
