An interesting weekend for Texas, how strong will #11 get, it will make Grace before landing (IMHO) and bring lots of heavey rain to the gulf. As to fabian, the big question for the next week is whether the trough will pick it up and turn it out to sea. If it does not then someone will get a visit from what could be a very strong storm. And also watch the wave that just left the African coast. Don't let your asp loose yet.

Looking more like a fish today. May still catch New England or Nova Scotia. Another teaser, sigh.

Watch the other three areas (two are already investigations. One coming into the gulf, likely just a TS for FL and two CV storms that may develop. Lots of watching and waiting. Meanwhile a Pacific storm that apears to be forming will recurve into the upper Baja, lots of wet whether for the southwest. Maybe that will set of some weather on the plains down the road.

With all of our attention focused these days on the tropics and our potential next assignments, would it not make sense for us to start posting the current fee schedules so adjusters can make wise choices when the next big one hits. Maybe even shame the bargain basement boys into either raising the pay or going without cat adjusters when the action heats up. It seems to me it would help us all to "know before you go" if we could post and share current vendor and carrier pay schedules.

Now THAT, is a good idea!!! Bucky deserves a cookie and a purple Kewpie doll for coming up with the winning suggestion for the week.

Let's all pitch in with the latest fee schedules you have from the vendors. If need be, post it under a pseudonym if you don't want your name used.

SIGH 1st real storm of the year and the dang Brits will get the work as it trample Bermuda and as a powerfull gale slams into England. Maybe Henri will stall out of the Atlantic coast strenghten then come back to shore (it has happened before). Also next gulf storm in the next week and should have another Cv storm.
