    you are welcome. It is our hope that the manual will make it eaiser to handle claims and let you all know what we expect when we do re-inspections of files during and event. It is our hope that everyone that reads it will download it and use it and pss it on to other adjusters.

    'Whether an adjuster works by the seat of his pants or calculates measurements to an eighth of an inch, the good ones share several goals. Of these, Number One is to get Mr. or Ms. Insured enough funds to put their life back together the way it was, leave them smiling, and never, ever, see that file again.'

    I like the above point.  It categorizes two general extremes of adjusting- 'guesstimating' versus 'bean-counting' whereby both have equal potential of either killing a claim or closing it.

    I will be in NJ to open a FRO office all adjusters working the flooding in NJ & NY and MASS and Conn. can contact me with questions pertaining to the flooding and how to handle flood losses at 405-323-6323.

    It would behove you to download this manual as this is what we look for when doing ride alongs and re-inspections.

    Alright folks the big one is here. Anyone of you flood adjusters that did not download this I hope you will now. We the NFIP GA'S will be following our guide lines with ridealongs and random routine re-inspections. I know everyone of you wants to put your best foot forward on this storm. So good luck and be careful out there.

    I just attended my sixth NFIP certification class in as many years. This guide is not only humorous and clever, but it also ties together seemingly-disparate elements mentioned in official presentations in a logical and easy-to-follow format.

    If I am ever deployed to write flood claims, I will have this document handy, if not memorized. This familiarity will certainly help me distinguish myself from those less prepared.

    A true classic. Thank you.
