What is the frequency of using financial professionals to analyze financial statements, calculating loss income and valuing businesses in business interruption claims cases?    Do commercial adjusters prefer working with national firms or sole  practitioners?

The client makes the call. Very few adjusters have the knowledge to analyze the finances of a corporation.

    Chuck:

Thanks for the information. Since the client makes the call, how is the financial professional selected?

Many large populated claim centers have a CPA firm well known to all the carriers in that area and the staff adjusters will make a recomdations. Many of these botique firms will have experience in arson, surety and theft.

Campos & Stratus is a real large player, and many smaller firms have split away over the years.
