3 Replies and 20690 Views Is the LM fee schedule the new norm>  20690  3 Started by  barryking $227 for roofs up to $15k is a joke. I implore the IA's out there to refuse to work for these fees. If we stand together maybe LM and S will get the message. No roof assists. No help with Eagle View. No mileage. LM's fee schedule is an insult to our profession.

The dwelling is four stories tall with the attic included. The contractor tried to put down steel sheets and marked sprinkler system heads with flags. The steel sheets sunk into the gro...

A friend  has a Texas HOA Plus with endorsement HO470T. He had a water leak under the floor of his pier and beam dwelling causing damage to the finished wood flooring. The company denied the claim saying the leak was below the foundation. My question is where does the foundation of a pier and beam dwelling begin and end Is there any case law on this Does he have a chance in persuing this any further Thanks Eddie

17 Replies and 9686 Views Coverage on roof with prior claim  9686  17 Started by  Stormkat We are selling my mother's home that had a prior hail claim that included replacement of the roof.  It was only 3 years old.  My mother did not replace it but did repair it.  She never pursued the depreciation since she did not do the work.  Will the purchaser have problems getting another insurance company to cover the roof  If they have a claim in the future, will the be prevented from getting a roof settlement Thank you for your insight!

3 Replies and 5706 Views Settlement of lost CD's and DVD,s  5706  3 Started by  Ray Hall These UPP losses do not come up much in cat. claims, but are very frequent in regular daily claims on fire and theft losses. Some people love these disk and have them in the auto and the the house when they are a total loss to to ACV value from these two perils. It sounds kinda hard nosed; but these items have very little value when the label is broken and they are palyed several times. I have had claims with 200-300 disk are gone. Some cost 39.95 and some cost 19.95 . some were purchased 15 ye...

1 Replies and 6449 Views McMansions outlawed in Los Angeles  6449  1 Started by  Leland The Mayor of LA announced today that McMansions were being outlawed because they take up to much of the lot, are boxy, ugly, and ruin the neighborhood. Let's say Mr. Smith has a 3800 sq ft. McMansion that burns down and he has $100,000.00 of code upgrade coverage. The city says he can only rebuild 2800 sq feet, because they no longer allow a big box that goes so close to the property line. Mr. Smith can get 3800 sq feet approved if he goes back with another design. The city will allow 3800 sq...
