I am trying to get information about getting State Farm Certified. Where can I get dates and locations? I can't seem to get any information at their web site.
    Thanks for the help.

I searched around the internet and couldn't find an answer for you. Just thought I'd let you know so you didn't think everyone was ignoring your question, I'm just guessing nobody has the answer.

State Farm puts it on directly of course (I did it at a temp office of theirs after being deployed for Katrina), but also I believe some of their larger vendors (like Eberls or Worley) hold the classes. Probably just have to keep your eye out for one mentioned on this site.

Thanks. It makes me feel better that there was a reason I couldn't find it at their website.

I was trying to do the same a while back and finally called them. I spoke to a lady who shared with me you had to be sponsored/sent by a company-Worley, Renfroe, etc.

This is a hard class to get into. I still think State Farm has only 5 vendors that they have check you out very carefully. 1. Pilot 2. Ebreals 3. Renfrow 4 worley and I think Crawford & Co.  you have to get one of these vendors to check you out and sponser you and I think it takes 2 years of provable storm experience to get on the vendors list. This is good for the catastrophe industry in the long run as you will have learned a great deal by this time. NFIP still requires 4 years and this is also good as flood claims are complex and move much slower than roof claims.

Years ago we put staff adjusters in several brackets. 1 telephone, 2 hail adjuster 3. grease fire adjuster and heavy weight. Its still used today for staff adjusters. Today catastrophe adjuster have 3 brackets 1. worm 2. OK 3. very good. You must work hard to get out of bracket # 2

I don't know how many of you guys and gals have worked for Big Red, but as for me, I would rather eat rocks. If you start handling their claims, come back here and agree with me.

Tim you would be the star if you worked in a TEAM 1 auto department, if the phones were rolled over to you. (only if no storm work was available)

*** This is not good for the staff,s moral and you should catch a storm in 6 months!
