    Hello all,

I have read on these forums some adjusters mention using XactScope on their Ipad for sketching houses, Dragon Naturally Speaking software for labeling photos and narrating scope of repairs and perhaps even their loss reports, entering measurements to XactScope via Disto automatically and perhaps a few other 21st century tricks.

I wonder if any of these techno geniuses would be willing to teach an old dog some new tricks.

I've had XactScope on my Ipad for at least two years now but can't figure out how to use it.  Haven't tried the other things but I have no doubt I'd meet with similar results if I tried them.

I'd love to learn how these things are done.  In fact, I'd be willing to pay anyone who really knows how to use this stuff to teach me.  I'd bet there are quite a few other adjusters hanging around this website who could benefit from this as well.  Perhaps one of you techno geniuses also have an entrepreneurial streak and would like to teach a class.  Webinar?  I mean if you're really into tech...

    Xactware can teach you..

They call the class "Mobile Estimating" instead of XactScope, but they do have a class for it.

Found the class. Thank you for the tip. I looks like it is just for XactScope stuff but even so, it will be a huge step forward.

    Again, thanks.

As far as the dragon speaking software is concerned I cant get the darn thing to adapt to my southern voice. I guess if I was from Califernia easier to type! (oops cant type either?...... go figer)

I guess I got to be a file reviewer then! :-)

    Roy,

When you do the setup for Dragon, I seem to remember that you can actually select various speaking styles, including "southern."

It will take some time, but you can train the software to be pretty accurate. In my case, at least as accurate as my typing skill level.

It can relieve the tedium in labeling photos and other tasks.

I have tried using Dragon every two years for the last 10 years or more, and last year it clicked for me.

Give it another try and good luck!

    Dale
