I'm assuming you've been contacted by Crocker Claims, just as I have. They contacted me through my posting on this site, and eventually sent me a contract. I've been trying to find out about them as well. At this point I am reluctant to sign the contract and work for them until I get some feedback on their company. I also noticed your posting on Well-Adjusted.

I have also been solicited by Crocker claims, and would like anybody who can tell me anything about them to reply. As I am new to adjusting I am wary of getting burned.

Crocker Claims has been around for more than 40 years in the Dallas area. They were known as heavy casualty adjusters and I think they were members of  NAIiA. They moved an office to Houston about 25 years ago when they purchased a small casualty firm when the owner wanted to retire. Guess they are going after property or catastrophe biz. Don,t have any neg. history about the new line of biz.

They have gone through ownership changes in recent years. They are currently involved in lawsuits in many states for not paying their adjusters. I personally know several who are owed 10's of thousands of dollars. I would be extremely careful, they have applied very aggressive tactics against anyone who tries to sue them for money, including suing the adjusters. BEWARE!!

I'm not sure what you are referring to with the "WOW", but I'm sure it is significant.

rbcccc, do you have any information to support your comments. For example web links and\or the name of the states that the lawsuits were filed in that you wrote about.

What I would like to see is that you support your comments with details so other visitors could benefit from factual feedback instead of hear say.

It looks like Crocker Claims is contacting everyone. I also got a message from them about doing claims for them. I would also like to find out more about them and the claims against them. How can I e-mail you about this?

     Hello rbcccc!

I too have been contacted by Crocker.  Can you shed some light for me pls?  No need for names or anything but just how many adjusters have been screwed out of their money and if you know; are they daily claims, CAT?  I've been burned before and didn't like it one bit.

The email that I received from Crocker stated that they have been in business for 80 years....  and they handle claims in 18 states which I'm in Montana and not much happens here for claims.....

    Thanks

    Hello rbcccc,

I am another adjuster that has been contacted by Crocker to work daily claims. It sounds like a good opportunity to get experience but not if they are not legit. Can you tell me any history? Thanks

This is from memory only. Crocker Claims was Dallas based about 50 years ago. They were known as casualty adjusters. About 25 years ago they opened a Houston office. I do not know any of the people involved. Its just a guess, but cat. vendors crop up ever day. If they pay on time, you can only loose about one month, why take this chance.

I can say first hand to stay away!!!!! I did a claim for them back in January and all went through with no complaints, file was closed. Still no money from them though. Last update was April 16, 2010 and they said my check was cut and mailed. Well either they sent it rush mail 3 weeks plus or it is not coming. They will not return my calls or emails now. Very fishy and they got me and they will not get me again. Stay away unless you do Pro Bono work.
